Eames Shell Chairs 2nd Generation Production

I am parting with my beloved Eames chairs!
Up for sale on eBay now!
This listing is for 3 very stunning, c. 1950's,  original Eames Zenith, Elephant hide gray, 2nd generation production (SAX), Easy shell chairs. They have the rubber shock mounts on x base, and black metal legs. The photos speak for themselves, these are 3 very collectible pieces. I cannot find any markings or logo, but apparently this is typical of the 2nd generation production ( as the labels were paper and wear off easily). The true mark is the underside's visible Fiberglass raised texture.

Eames History:
The earliest fiberglass Eames chairs were produced by Zenith Plastics and came in a limited palate including elephant hide gray. The Zenith produced shells are distinctive for their high fiber content and larger, more substantial rubber shock mounts. The fiberglass chairs came with a range of bases to accommodate different uses and aesthetics. The SAX was the designation given chairs such as this one. With a solid steel base in an X-shape, the lower seat height made it ideal for relaxing and conversation. This chair is from the "transitional" period when Zenith Plastics was still making the shells, but had stopped imbedding rope around the edge.

This Week's Finds

Currey and Co., White Shell Tile, Humoresque Lamps
Just discovered these lamps retail for $1140!!!!  They are from Currey and Company lamp #6058, the style is Humoresque. They are a wonderful retro hour glass shape covered in "white hammered shell tiles" (or Mother of Pearl). We have had these around in their original boxes, never used, in mint condition, left over from a film shoot.
Just listed them on ebay with a starting bid of $449 for the pair! Buy now for $599!
This is like half price for a pair of high end designer lamps that are perfectly new and unique!

R. Williamson Sconce Lamp
Rare 1920's Art Deco Original, R. Williamson (for Beardslee), wall sconce lamp. These rare art deco lamps by R. Williamson and Co. (Chicago) represent the archetypical Art Deco style. This is the real deal! I don't understand why someone has not scooped this up!? It has a stamp of R. Williamson and Co. (Chicago) embossed on back. Its in excellent condition too. It is missing the glass globe. I have seen way more of the matching R. Williamson glass globes than these fixtures available. Right now on ebay there are a pair of these fixtures with globes listed at $500. Mine auction ends today. I'm asking $79 starting bid on ebay, buy it now $129!!
I will keep this piece if it does not not sell and put back in my etsy shop
Too rare to give away for pennies.

Cool New Vintage Finds

Chippendale chair legs
Found these awesome antique chairs legs! They are very large- 17" long, solid wood and heavy!
They are Chippendale style legs with the claw foot or ball claw (the claw is gripping a ball).
They have a wonderful shabby chic appearance with layers of dark brown glaze.
Could be very valuable! I'm selling the set for $79 in my etsy shop . Hopefully, someone will buy them to add some vintage wonderfulness to a chair or sofa!

Girl, Tween Illustrations from 1960- 70's Vintage Books

I love vintage illustrations! How much of popular culture is coded in these images!
Especially tween girl illustrations from the 1960-70's
I have acquired a mass of vintage books which will be appearing at fancypak. Mostly they are paperbacks, but a few hardback titles are in there too. The mass of books that I have are for children/young adult. I have started listing the 'girl' books and some are up now.
Really fun illustrations! Illustrator, John Fernie seems to be popular in many of these titles.
These 'girl' titles are currently at fancypak. I will be adding a bunch more soon.

Next will be some more 'boy' titles coming soon...:)
